Collaborating for Rural Sustainability
Central European University is partnering with University of the Witwatersrand, American University of Central Asia, and American University of Beirut to strengthen teaching, learning, and research addressing the sustainability of rural livelihoods in South Africa, Kyrgyzstan, and Lebanon. CORUSUS brings together partner institutions from the North and South to develop rural sustainability curricula and research across institutions as well as facilitate student and faculty exchange to promote interdisciplinary co-learning. The partnership seeks to tackle complex social-ecological issues such as poverty, food security, and sustainable natural resource use in rural environments.
