Strengthening the Core

Strengthening the Core provided educators from across the OSUN network with annual workshops for First-Year Seminar and Language and Thinking. These two programs, staples of the interdisciplinary Bard College core curriculum, introduce first-year students to texts and practices that serve as a foundation for the rest of their college education. Strengthening the Core helped faculty to develop their curricula, enhance their pedagogies, and share ideas and resources. Communication and collaboration across the OSUN network improved first-year programs at each participating institution and fostered meaningful relationships between participating educators.
